Corinne and Gilles Benizio meet in 1982 at the Theater University – Paris III.
Of the 1987, with the company Achille Tonic, they imagine shows on the theme of the Music Hall. In 1988, we discover for the first time as part of the Off festival in Avignon the characters of Shirley and Dino. Corinne and Gilles Benizio now devote themselves to directing operas. Their first production was entrusted by Hervé Niquet for the Concert Spirituel, with King Arthur for the Radio France Festival at the Montpellier Opera in 2008. Still with the Spiritual Concert , the duo stages Beautiful Helene d’Offenbach, Sleeping Beauty of Hérold and Don Quixote at the Duchess's house of Boismortier, and more recently Platée by Rameau in 2022. A March 2023, they present in Grenoble their production of the opera Turandot, de Franco Alfano and Giacomo Puccini.
