Amarillis (17 musicians) and soprano Patricia Petibon
Patricia Petibon, the famous French soprano, partner of the Amarillis ensemble for many years, brings back the time of a program of magician characters, guilty of crimes but also terribly fascinating and endearing. We thus find Medea and Circe, two mythological figures set to music by Charpentier, Leclair, Lully…
Finally Amarillis honors a composer who is dear to him, Jean-Philippe Rameau, who never ceases to set to music characters in love torn by passion, grappling with the emotions and torments of their hearts.

CHECKERS GAMES AT THE COURT
Amarillis, artistic direction Héloïse Gaillard (2 musicians)
The ladies, at Court and in the City, sometimes maintain a relationship of intimacy and charm with music, of which the gentlemen, so gifted they are, do not always have the secret. And as for the Court, that of the 18th century had a special gift… It would be nice, in any case, to remember that there were a hundred concerts a year at the Queen's, the Dauphine or Ladies. Much more than literature, music was the true passion of these ladies. They practiced it, they loved him, sometimes they helped him. One would be tempted to say of all, without exception, that they gave the music the best of, oui, let's say the word : from their heart.

FLAMMES DE MAGICIENNES
Amarillis (17 musicians) and soprano Patricia Petibon
Patricia Petibon, the famous French soprano, partner of the Amarillis ensemble for many years, brings back to life the time of a program of heroines who are deeply endearing but also guilty in their actions. Crimes and hexes, in the 17th and 18th centuries, are often associated in the dramaturgy. So, Medea, mythical and complex character, multifaceted, loving and passionate, is also cruel and vengeful when human beings, and first of all her lover Jason, turn away from her and betray her.
We find Circe, another figure of magician and lover rejected in theMetamorphosisby the Latin poet Ovide set to music by Jean-Marie Leclair and his librettist, un certain Albaret, who take hold of the subject by 1746 and compose a masterpiece.
Finally Amarillis honors a composer who is dear to him, Jean-Philippe Rameau, who never ceases to set to music characters in love torn by passion, grappling with the emotions and torments of their hearts.
Without forgetting that some dances, such as chaconne, demons tunes, gavotte and other rigaudons, will stir up the fiery spirits of these magicians with tender and passionate hearts.

Earth, the air, the water, Fire in baroque aesthetics.
Conference proposed by Héloïse Gaillard & Sabine Novel, dancer choreographer
The four elements that make up the Universe will be revisited thanks to the baroque aesthetic. The air, Earth, Water and Fire are invited to dialogue with, for inspiration, a baroque poetry that resonates today, in the present of our lives.
Earth, men's living place, sown with trials but also a symbol of fertility, is compared with Air, volatile, playful and bringing the necessary breath to life. Gods of the winds, Zephyr and Boreas, appear at the bend of a line and bring back stories from mythology, revisited by poets and baroque composers, thus continuing to challenge us.
The water, rejuvenating, fluctuating and elusive, invites loving sweetness crossed by complaints and tears while flaming love makes us fall into the fire of passion or even madness.

A crossed look between an exceptional woman artist and creator of the Baroque period and a musician of the 21st century.
Conference proposed by Héloïse Gaillard
Discover the baroque aesthetic thanks to the very moving music of Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, one of the few French women of the Baroque period known to this day as a composer. She was very famous during her lifetime and admired by Louis XIV.
The evocation of this exceptional artist will make it possible to draw a portrait of the court of Versailles at the time of the Sun King, when all the arts came together for the influence of France and the sovereign.
Two female figures will be mirrored, the biblical heroine Judith and the mythological character Sémélé through the work of Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre and a few painters such as Artemisia Gentileschi and Elisabeth Sirani.

BOIS SONNANTS ET MOUVANTS
The proposal from the city of Angers to bring together the musician Héloïse Gaillard and the dancer Amala Dianor, echoes an unprecedented and hailed meeting at the Grand Théâtre d´Angers during an honorary distinction received by the artists in November 2019. A new meeting scheduled in the Collegiate Church of Saint Martin took place in Spring 2021. It was the perfect opportunity to invent a journey into the heart of the emotions inspired by baroque music.
Indeed, this aesthetic that favors the unusual, the fantastic, the tormented, thus generates a dramatic tension amplified by various contrasts linked to movements and instrumental colors.
In the courtyard of the Jean Lurçat Museum, go on a journey of the senses ! A moving and virtuoso music, performed on woodwind instruments from the Woods family, baroque flutes, played by soloist Héloïse Gaillard, will resonate with the body and movements of dancer and choreographer Amala Dianor.
This inspiring place, which houses the tapestries of the painter Jean Lurçat and the courtyard of the magnolias, populated by dreams and imagination, with its mystery, his grace will inspire this unusual and daring duo.

Musical and dance meeting
with flautist Héloïse Gaillard and dancer Sabine Novel
20H15 at Château du Plessis-Macé
Héloïse Gaillard and Sabine Novel offer as part of this meeting the discovery of the baroque universe through music, dance and body language.
The choice of some emblematic forms of baroque aesthetics such as fantasy, the whim, the theme and variations and the series of dances will make it possible to highlight the characteristics of this sensitivity which favors the unusual, instability, mobility, the fantastic, the tormented even the exuberant.
Some composers will be honored like Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach or Jan Van Eyck.
This meeting will present the work of developing the new show - Les Caprices de l'Oivers- of the Amarillis ensemble premiered at the Dôme theater in Saumur in September 2020. The desire of this show is to celebrate the four elements that make up the universe, by poetic and musical correspondences.
At the heart of a resolutely contemporary choreography in its energy, in his vision of the world and in his aesthetics, the dance will be intrinsically imbued with a vocabulary belonging to the Baroque and Renaissance periods.
Finally, the public will be invited to participate in a very simple way from their seat., to an initiation around the movement of the arms in baroque dance.

Rates and Reservations The12 Fantasies by Georg Philipp Telemann, probably composed between 1727 and 1728, manifest the taste of the Baroque period for works dedicated to monodic instruments. It is certainly no coincidence that Telemann chooses, to designate these parts, this term so evocative of "fantasies" which refers to the idea of a creation without formal constraints. It allows him to experience a playful spirit, exceptional virtuosity and to take advantage of a perfect knowledge of the resources and technical possibilities of the instrument. Héloïse Gaillard performs this program on four different flutes – sopranino, soprano, alto and tenor – a choice that allows him to translate the whole range of emotions suggested by Telemann and to underline the extraordinary diversity that these fantasies conceal.

Magician flames
Amarillis (17 musicians) and soprano Patricia Petibon
=> See the organizer's website
CANCELED – FESTIVAL EARLY MUSIC À MADRID 08/05/2020
In the footsteps of Orpheus
Amarillis (4 musicians) & Maïlys de Villoutreys (soprano)
This program features brilliant, as well as moving and surprising music by three composers, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Jean-Marie Leclair, died the same year in 1764 and Louis-Nicolas Clérambault.Jean-Philippe Rameau, the great harpsichordist, theorist and composer left us a collection of chamber music including five Concerts. You will hear the second Concert, the first two pieces of which are successively dedicated to a young prodigy, the composer Jean-Benjamin Laborde and to a harpsichordist who would become the wife of the composer Mondonville.
Then we will follow in Orpheus' footsteps, the mythical musician, thanks to two French cantatas whose respective librettos stage two different episodes of its history. Published in 1710 in her first book of cantatas, Orphée de Clérambault portrays the magician capable of moving the whole earth thanks to his songs. It's to find his wife Eurydice, death, bitten by a snake, that Orpheus decides to descend into hell. Accompanied by his lyre, he succeeds in bending the will of Pluto, getting permission to bring his beloved back to life.
Clérambault and his librettist, M. de Rochebrune, chose to stop Orpheus' story at that point, while Rameau’s cantata in 1721 opens with a tale in which Orpheus ascends from the empire of shadows accompanied by his Eurydice which he must not watch if he does not want to lose her. Orpheus' fight, his temptation to turn around, and finally the fatal outcome are admirably translated into music by Rameau

Ensemble Amarillis will record Melodies in Mind for RAI live from Rome.
Give to hear a melody without words in its most intimate expression, this is Handel's challenge to us, this man with a universal mind, passionate about painting and who knew how to translate into music the whole range of human feelings. These melodies, so suggestive, enter into us, enchant us and leave us no respite.
This program, object of the last Amarillis record, that we have chosen to design around the genre of the trio sonata, was born out of a commission from the Philharmonie de Paris. Sonatas in trio, will be compared with two imaginary Suites in the spirit of the dance suite.
