Note d’intention

Through multiple peregrinations spanning the centuries, countries and literature, cat meets human beings, whose behavior he observes with tenderness and wisdom. His goddess having charged him with rescuing lovers in distress, he takes human form to put himself at the service of men who need him. With the help of five acolytes, four musicians and a singer, our mischievous cat puts his funny stories and thoughts to music.
On three small miniature operas composed at the time of Louis XIV, Héloïse Gaillard with her Amarillis ensemble and Tami Troman have imagined a total spectacle which combines sculpture, theater, musique, dance to salute the spirit of freedom and madness which animates the baroque expression.

My eyes flood the countryside with your sad excesses,
A mes cris, Mountain Monsters, mix your horrible howls.
Extravagant, one would say. Baroque indeed, in the first sense of the term.

It is the baroque spirit that we want to celebrate, the one who takes us beyond the ordinary who breathes freedom and allows madness.
