The Amarillis association is an internationally renowned musical ensemble with the objective of disseminating, musical creation and cultural action policy.

The ensemble performs around thirty concerts per year on the biggest stages in France and abroad.. Its varied workforce evolves between a formation of 2 at 4 soloists to an orchestra in chamber formation. Recognized since its creation in 1994 as a reference in the interpretation of music from the 17th and 18th centuries, it offers instrumental programs, with singers and crossovers with other musical or artistic sensibilities.

Winner of three first international prizes, distinguished by Classic Revelations from the Adami, Amarillis has received the highest praise from the national and international press for all of his discography (22 records to date) released under the Ambroisie-Naïve labels, Evidence Classics, Ambronay, Sony classical, AgOgic, NoMadMusic and Wonder.

In 2023, Héloïse Gaillard and Patricia Petibon co-founded the Academy Les Chants d’Ulysse at the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud and at the Théâtre Le Dôme de Saumur, the first edition of which took place on 15 at 22 avril. The second edition took place from 26 April to 4 May 2024.

Based in Angers, Amarillis is contracted by the State – Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Pays de la Loire Region and receives the support of the Pays-de-la-Loire Region and the city of Angers. The Ensemble is a member of FEVIS and Profedim.

Employed by the Amarillis Association, you are responsible for distributing the production, and communication for the projects of the whole.

You will work in a team with the artistic director of Ensemble Amarillis and the administrator.

1- Diffusion/production

– Find venues for Amarillis artistic projects, as well as partners and co-producers for the creations

– Maintain links with places where Amarillis has already been programmed

– Implement distribution strategies and network development, in conjunction with the artistic director
– Manage prospecting, invitations, phone reminders, letters, mails

– Update the database of broadcasters and broadcast locations (Orfeo software).

– Establish the technical modalities, financial and reception of each representation in conjunction with the administrator.
– Organize performance dates (transport logistics, meal, artist accommodation, drafting roadmaps).

– Manage schedules in conjunction with artists : availability of artists on different projects
– Accompany the ensemble on tour, festivals

2- Communication

– Develop and update the Ensemble’s communication tools: website, press reviews, monthly newsletter, rereading programs

– Management of social networks in conjunction with the communications agency which produces content for Instagram/Facebook.

– Format presentation files and educational files for shows.
– Concert diaries : announce concerts on online platforms

Required Skills :  

Tray + 5 Diploma(e) higher education in cultural administration or business school

Ability to sell a project, ease on the telephone and ability to adapt to the interlocutor (programmers, artistes, partners…)

Knowing how to assess the technical feasibility of a project in a location.

Master office tools (suite office), and DTP (Canva)

Knowledge of Orfeo software desired

Writing fluency

Foreign languages : fluent english essential.

Knowledge of the classical music industry and ability to read music would be a plus

Occasional availability in the evenings and weekends depending on concerts

B permit

Business trips :

Have an up-to-date passport ;

Travel to concert venues to accompany the Ensemble and create links with programmers.

Travel to the organizers for meetings and their events ;

Travel to professional meetings.

Position covered by the CCNEAC collective agreement.

Workplace in Angers. Teleworking possible.

Full-time permanent contract (day package) with a trial period of 3 renewable months. Part-time position possible or Freelance welcome
