Robert Expert, Countertenor, has sung throughout Europe and as far away as Canada or Japan with the most prestigious phalanxes, baroque and contemporary opera, musical theater, the oratory, as well as in recital or chamber formation. He is the dedicatee of a large number of creations.
Among twenty discs, we note a Vivaldi/Handel recital named best baroque vocal recording by the Académie du Disque Lyrique in 2006, the title role of Orlando de Porpora, a compilation of tunes by the most famous countertenors at Decca, recreations of 17th century tunes with the early music ensemble La Primavera. Robert Expert has been a guest on several television shows, radio, Eve Ruggieri dedicated a Music to the Heart to him, he hosted a cultural program on France 2 with Patricia Petibon. Pedagogy is his deep passion : CA holder, he has been teaching for over 20 years in master class or conservatory (Paris CRR, CRD de Bobigny) both in France and abroad. At the CNSM of Lyon, he has been teaching since september 2017 baroque singing. He participates in scientific research protocols on the voice, and gives numerous lectures on vocal acoustics, pedagogy or certain historical and musicological themes. Scientific expert of The Voice, the exhibition that speaks to you at the Cité des Sciences in Paris, Robert is one of the authors of the book La voix chantée – Between science and practice directed by Nathalie Henrich published by De Boeck-Solal. He was recruited in 2020 by the CNFPT for the distance training of singing teachers (FOREMI) and in 2022 for singing didactics at the Pôle Sup 93 (DE training) year in Le Soulier de satin by Marc-André Dalbavie for his return to the Paris Opera, 16 years after his only appearance.
